our story

On December 7th, 2018, the Deane Family of Madison, CT lost their son Joe, age 23, to an overdose of pure fentanyl. The Deane Family, Lisa and Peter Deane, parents of Joe, and his brother Michael, are committed to honoring Joe's memory.  He fought his addiction with all of his might, but Joe was ultimately overtaken. Joe was an incredibly talented multi-sport athlete, and served as an invaluable addition to each organization that he played for. His naturally competitive spirit, paired with his undeniable skill, made him a force to be reckoned with on the field and the ice. It is with this same spirit and tenacity that we take action in his name. Together, we will fight for those who still have time.
